Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker wants to return to her Latino roots and portray one of two Mexican cinema stars. Promoting a new ice-cream line in Mexico City recently, the actress told local reporters she’s desperate to play either Maria Felix or Dolores del Rio. Both are movie legends in South America. She said:

“I would love to play a strong woman, especially in Latin culture (…) I did my own research to learn more about the writers, directors and great stars of Mexican cinema.“

It may seem impossible, but Eva Longoria always looks her best! Then again, given the constant hounding she receives from the paparazzi, it’s no wonder. The “Desperate Housewives” hottie was spotted as she exited Café Med in West Hollywood following a casual lunch with some gal pals.

She looked stunning in a silky peach-colored strapless dress with a pair of pseudo-platform heels and an oversized turquoise-blue handbag. But she was just getting her wardrobe warmed up… last night the “Over Her Dead Body” babe made an appearance at the “You’ve Gotta Have Heart” theatrical performances presented by Events of the Heart, a non-profit organization raising awareness about heart disease.

Eva definitely added some beauty to the Geffen Playhouse in Westwood, California with her amazing ensemble including a dark purple strapless gown paired with silvery-purple high heels — Gossip Girls

Geddit?!

Now, those nice people at Wall’s would like us to believe that Eva Longoria eats Magnum ice creams. Why, here was Eva yesterday in Mexico City, promoting the latest in the Magnum range - ‘Devotion’ (is that the one called ‘Mayan Mystica’ over here?) - and looking perfect as always, of course, in a skintight yellow dress as she did so.

But as perfect as Eva looks, I’m just not buying that an ice cream so much as touches those lips of hers. Which explains why she’s always just holding the ice cream up for persual in her Magnum pictures; and which is also an awful shame, because she must get bucketloads of freebies for doing this campaign.
