Latin actress Eva Longoria is busy piling on the pounds for her role in the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives. Longoria who plays high maintenance Gabrielle Solis in the show was seen with a larger frame and two kids in the last season.

“I ate everything in sight - Pasta pappardelle and pizza. Oh, Tony and I went crazy this summer,” Contactmusic quoted Longoria, as saying. Longoria, 33, who will also be sporting a bob in the show said her husband gave her the first snip before the reluctant hairstylist actually cut her hair.

“I had to cut my hair for the show because Gabrielle has short hair. I wore a wig in the last episode, but I didn’t want to wear a wig this whole season, so I was like, “I’m going to cut it,” the actress said. “Kenny said, “Tony, you’re going to do the first cut, so she can’t be mad at me. Tony did the first snip. He did more and then he did more and then Kenny cleaned it up,” Eva added.

Four years ago, getting cast on “Desperate Housewives” was a dream come true for Eva Longoria Parker, who is now paying it forward by making a wish come true for one of her young fans.

The beneficiary of Eva’s kindness is 12-year-old Dominique, who was flown all the way from Switzerland to meet with her idol by Reves, an organization that makes wishes come true for seriously ill children.

ET’s Steven Cojocaru joined the two ladies to find out why Eva and “Desperate Housewives” means so much to Dominique, who shared that the show was a welcome break during her six-month hospital stay and eight months of chemotherapy.

“Eva is amazing,” Dominique gushes to Cojo. “[’Desperate Housewives’] made me laugh and it made me happy.”

The friendship between the two began when Dominique sent Eva a tape. Eva recalls, “She sent me the most beautiful DVD. She filmed herself in her home and where she is from. She showed me pictures of her life. I was so touched and blown away that she would spend all this time to put this video together. She was going to come and visit us last year, but she wasn’t feeling up to it, so I sent her a tape, ‘A Day on the Set with Eva.’ It showed her via video showing her the entire Wisteria Lane, so she felt like she was here.“

These days Dominique says she is feeling “very well,” but is very excited to get her very own real-life tour of Wisteria Lane.

“To hear the effect that it had on you just touches me in such a way. I can’t explain,” Cojo tells Eva — and then they take Dominique on the tour of a lifetime.

“This is what it is all about,” Eva says. “Using your fame and your platform for greater causes than yourself.”

Eva Longoria Parker is looking forward to having a family with her husband of one year, Tony Parker — just not right now.

“Not in nine months,” the actress told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush in a new interview for “The Billy Bush Show.” “I can guarantee you a baby will not be here in nine months. Longer than that, maybe. We’re definitely wanting a family and when it happens, it’ll happen, but it’s no rush and there’s no timeline that we’ve set for ourselves.”

Bloggers speculated Eva was with child after she was pictured with a less-than-perfectly-flat tummy while on vacation with her husband last week. During her call with Billy, Eva explained her figure was the result of celebration.

“I was busy celebrating my one-year anniversary,” Eva told Billy. “It was great. We ate and ate, and drank wine. We just kind of lived European.”

Eva also took the opportunity during their chat, scheduled to air on Billy’s show Monday evening, to explain her short crop. Though it looks similar to a cut her pal Victoria Beckham recently sported, Eva actually cropped her locks for her role in “Desperate Housewives.”

“I had to cut my hair for Gabrielle because she’s a mom now and so she’s cut her hair,” Eva said. “She’s really simple, she has no makeup, she’s frumpy, and so I cut my hair.”

Eva Longoria answers questions during the ABC portion of the Television Critics Association Press Tour held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday in Beverly Hills, Calif. The 33-year-old Desperate Housewives actress explained why she had to gain weight and chopped off her long hair for her character Gabrielle Solis.

Said Eva, “[Creator Marc Cherry] told me last year before the season finale that we wanted her to have the mom haircut, and that she has let herself go because Carlos is blind, she’s had two kids, and she’s just really kind of let go of that vanity. We brainstormed with hair and makeup and wardrobe, and I cut my hair because I didn’t want to wear a wig once he told me how long it was going to last. So yeah, [it’s] butt pads, stomach pads, boob pads,” Eva said. “I love it, because I come to hair and makeup now and it’s 10 minutes instead of two hours. I wake up and go straight to set.”

Responding to rumors that actress Eva Longoria and her husband of one year, basketball star Tony Parker are expecting their first child together, a rep for the Desperate Housewives star has a released a statement explaining Eva’s apparent recent weight gain.

“For the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives [Eva’s character] Gabrielle has “gained” weight and cut her hair,” says the actress’ rep Liza Anderson. “She is now a worn-out mother with two kids. Eva has enjoyed a more relaxed environment and will even be wearing butt pads and stomach pads.”

Actress Eva Longoria told SSNN that she is “excited and thrilled” to have been selected by the fans as the final member of the American League All-Star Team.

“I’m just over the moon,” Longoria said. “It’s my first all-star selection, and I really couldn’t be happier. This just goes to show you that there really are a lot of Desperate Housewives fans out there, even though sometimes it feels like we’re the show without any fans. I just really am so thankful.”

Longoria beat out hopefuls Jermaine Dye, Jason Giambi, Brian Roberts and Jose Guillen in a “final vote” that set a record for fan participation. The actress, who is married to Tony Parker, said she was worried that her lack of ability in baseball and/or acting may have prevented fans from voting for her, but obviously they were undeterred.

“I’ve never really played baseball before,” Longoria said. “So I thought it was a little weird that they chose me to the All-Star Team of baseball. But hey, how hard can it be, right?”

Longoria now has half as many All-Star appearances as her husband, and she hopes to catch up next year.

“We’ll see how it goes,” she said. “But if it goes well, then I’ll definitely probably want to do it again next year.”

Tampa Bay third baseman Evan Longoria was confused by the results.

“I thought that I’d been selected to the team,” Longoria said. “So that was a bit of a bummer. But she is, you know, ME-OW hot. I mean, I’m just saying - I may not be invited to the game, but now I’ll definitely be watching.”

These days if you flip on “Desperate Housewives,” you might find Eva Longoria in an evening dress promoting a Buick LaCrosse. The boss in “The Office” raves about his Levis. And Coke shows up all over “American Idol.” Spending on product placement in the United States grew by a third last year. With TiVo snapping at broadcasters’ heels, allowing viewers to zap traditional commercials out of their shows, product placement is shaping up to be advertisers’ holy grail.

Basketball ace Tony Parker has denied his wife Eva Longoria is pregnant - because they are not trying for a baby. The couple has been plagued by reports they are expecting ever since Longoria was spotted wearing a loose-fitting dress in New York earlier this month.

But Parker has refuted the persistent reports. He says, “She’s not pregnant now if that’s your question. I’m not thinking like that right now.“

Newly single after splitting from his Dancing with the Stars partner Karina Smirnoff, Lopez reveals he has reluctantly had to settle for being friends with Desperate Housewives beauty Longoria Parker and he confesses he’s jealous of the actress’ basketball star husband Tony Parker.

Lopez says, “We never dated. Unfortunately. We met a long time ago, and she was always with somebody or I was with somebody. But we hit it off and I have the utmost respect for her (…) Tony Parker is a lucky guy. I was in (sic) her wedding. I walked her mum down the aisle.”
