Eva Longoria Parker and Mario Lopez missed out on romance because they were never single at the same time - and the former saved the bell star is bitter.

Newly single after splitting from his Dancing with the Stars partner Karina Smirnoff, Lopez reveals he has reluctantly had to settle for being friends with Desperate Housewives beauty Longoria Parker and he confesses he’s jealous of the actress’ basketball star husband Tony Parker.

Lopez says, “We never dated. Unfortunately. We met a long time ago, and she was always with somebody or I was with somebody. But we hit it off and I have the utmost respect for her (…) Tony Parker is a lucky guy. I was in (sic) her wedding. I walked her mum down the aisle.”

At home, Eva Longoria would only have to stand in front of the bed and temptingly undo her top buttons to grab her husband’s attention. Ah, Eva Longoria Parker. She dresses like America’s answer to Victoria Beckham. With a twist. That twist being: sometimes she goes out looking ever so slightly casual. As here, for example, when she popped out for a spot of lunch with Tony Parker (or “Our Tony” as I’m sure she calls him) at Cafe Med in Los Angeles. She was sporting a pretty adorable (and pretty, adorable) lacy cream dress, a matching bag (natch) and a pair of brown platform sandals. The overall effect: not really very Victoria Beckham. Especially because she was also carrying a plastic bag. Still, maybe next time, eh?

It seems as if everyone is expecting actress Eva Longoria-Parker to be expecting. The actress, however, is reportedly not pregnant.

Rumors started swirling on Monday, when the “Desperate Housewives” star was photographed shopping at N.Y.C.’s Ferragamo boutique. The actress, accompanied by her stylist Robert Verdi, was wearing a loose fitting sundress.

At one point it seemed a salesperson pointed to Eva’s belly, and the rumor mill began.

Verdi, however, is adamant that the actress is not pregnant. According to People.com, he said, “I’m not her gynecologist, but I am her stylist (…) I see her naked. I see her boobs! That’s the first place it would show, and it’s not showing!“

Verdi also clarified the shopping trip and the salesperson pointing at Eva’s stomach, saying it was all just a mistake.

“Eva was holding a handbag that she bought in the crook of her arm (…) The manager came over and said to her, ‘I love that bag.’ But in the photos, it looks like the woman is gesturing to her midsection. It’s too funny.“

IT must have been a very Long-oria day for Tony Parker today as he was paraded around the shops by his actress wife.

Pretty Desperate Housewives babe Eva Longoria took tall hubby Tony to a string of top end shops and seemingly gave him no Solis from shopping. Still, we’re sure with looks like Eva’s he soon forgave her for waiting around any changing rooms!

Victoria Beckham is reportedly hoping that Eva Longoria-Parker’s cooking will help her get pregnant. The WAG, who was rumoured to have subsided on just edamame beans, seaweed protein shakes and strawberries during the Spice Girls reunion tour, is said to actually trying to gain rather than lose weight for once as she is worried her super-thin physique may be affecting her fertility.

A source close the Beckhams told the Daily Mail: “Victoria has been a lot less fastidious about her weight recently. She and David are desperate to conceive and she knows she needs to put on a bit of weight in order to do so. She’s bumping up on the calories.

“Eva is Victoria’s closest friend in Los Angeles and she and David have been round to Eva’s for dinner on many occasions. Eva is proud of her Mexican heritage and considers herself an excellent cook (…) Victoria is a vegetarian and she flipped out over Eva’s cheese enchiladas. They are made with home-made corn tortillas and are very tasty, but hardly low-calorie (…) Eva serves them with rice and refried beans. Each serving is two enchiladas and she told me she was amazed because Victoria always eats at least one.”

The source added that Victoria has even asked for the recipe so she can “make them for her boys” at home. Victoria is also said to be eating a cupcake a day after friend Heidi Klum bought her a year’s supply for her birthday in April.

Since marrying basketball star Tony Parker, Eva Longoria has been a familiar face courtside. Now the actress has travelled to France to watch an extra-special game – seeing her brother-in-law in action.

T.J. Parker was playing in Nancy, where his team is based, and Eva and Tony were not going to miss the excitement. The couple were not the only members of the Parker family enjoying the game. Younger brother Pierre was also cheering his athletic sibling on, alongside dad Tony Senior, a former basketball player himself.

And it seems that all the support of his family helped T.J. on the court. His team defeated playoff rivals Lyon 104 to 89. Eva, meanwhile, kept her stylish, bright red coat buttoned up throughout the game, hiding any signs of the “bump” that earlier last week led to reports she was expecting her first child.

Kate Beckinsale has laughed off reports of a rivalry with Eva Longoria Parker - insisting her fellow actress is too “tiny” to be her competition.

Beckinsale has spent a lot of time with Desperate Housewives star Longoria Parker since moving to Los Angeles, sparking speculation the pair befriended one another to further their acting careers.

But the Underworld star insists she doesn’t regard the Texan beauty as a rival - because their dissimilar physiques prevent them from competing for film roles.

She says, “How could Eva and I be up for the same parts? She’s tiny and I’m fascinated by little people (…) Having said that, I feel like a giant. I’ve always felt a clunky girl. I could ski home on my feet.”

Mexican-American film actress Eva Longoria revealed that with exercising and eating healthy food she manages to stay fit and healthy! The 33-year-old was asked in an interview if it was the Hollywood lifestyle, which was pressurizing her into staying slim and she replied in the negative.

“No, not at all. At the level I’m at in my career, it’s about the acting, not about my size,” News of the World quoted her as saying.

“I have a degree in kinesiology, which is studying the body, physical training and appearance, so a sensible attitude is ingrained in me. The Hollywood lifestyle just happens to be the one I live – I like staying in shape and eating healthily (…) I don’t do it because anyone else is telling me to,” she said.

When asked about peer pressure and if she had ever gone on a diet to lose weight, she replied in the negative, saying she loved chocolate and that as long as it is in moderation, it is fine.

“I’ve never dieted per se, but I love meat and fish and was raised eating fresh vegetables, so I’m used to quite a good diet. I’m not a big bread or pasta person – I don’t avoid carbs on purpose, I just don’t really like them,” she stated.

She does not take diet tips from her celebrity friends, as their diets are not the same, but loves to cook and eat Mexican food and since her husband is French, she has also added French food to her diet.

“I don’t really take tips from my friends – Victoria Beckham is a vegetarian, for example, so our diets are really different – but we have each other round for meals,” she revealed.

The only thing the actress worries about is gaining weight around her bottom, and so to keep it off, she does cardio, weight training, ballet-style bar training, kickboxing, four times a week.

“I worry about gravity taking its toll, and that’s why I work out regularly – anything for my butt,” she admitted.

“But I also do it because it keeps me healthy, not to lose weight. I get ill less and feel fresher when I exercise (…) Then I often go home, eat chocolate ice cream and tell myself it’s all right because I’ve balanced it out with the exercise!” she added.
